Tenax Problem

Today I had both of the Tenax fittings fail leaving me with a problem getting the canopy off.
The springs inside had broken causing it to jam.

Anyone else having trouble with these?

Hi,

I have had the same Problem here or there. A tiny bit of grease on the Pin and inside the Tenax made quite a differenze.

That's worth knowing.

I had better get some new parts ordered from Gerd.
I have emailed him to see if just the Tenax parts themselves are available without having the other bits.

Tenax are availible on quite a few Shops. Are you getting them from Minicopter?

Yes looks like I will have to.

I was going to try to get some from the UK but one of the guy's on one of the other Forum seems to think that they do not fit.

I need them before next weekend if possibly as well.

I got mine in Bauhaus (nautic section). You should get them in every nautic store near you.

Hint: I pressed tenax in bench vice while using two gedora impact tools to bend those pins under the button (so they don't damage the canopy). Between gedoras you can put tape or piece of fabric, so you don't damage tenax.

Not necessary, already factory done from us with a special tool.
